Omg. What the hell? And Freddie didn't smell her?? I'm sorry, it's not going to make me hate on the whole series... much, but you can't create vampire lore and then just disregard it when it's convenient for the plot!

I'm enjoying this one for the most part, but the "querida" instead of "querido" is really starting to bother me - it's not that hard for an author to spot-check the odd Spanish word and get it right, if they're going to include it. And the fact that Freddie isn't bringing in back up right now? That literally makes no sense, which is just taking me out of the story since he's supposed to be so competent... 😐

Why couldn't Freddie sense Gabriella was a vampire?

Freddie has turned from a stoic vampire protection unit to a wordy romantic simpering fool. I dunno, his character seems to have done a complete 180.
