Status Updates From Wake the Wild Creatures

Sigh... A utopian community, cut off from the rest of the world, but absolutely no discussion of food gathering, preparation, tools, first aid, laundry, etc.
I want to be pulled in, immersed!

I love the writing. She has a great ear for a musical sentence. But I find the outdoors parts bland. I have to keep reminding myself that most writers who write about wildness have not lived outdoors.

Still, I love a mother/daughter criminal story.

Best way to beat a reading slump? A book by one of my faves! It’s been awhile since I read a Nova book and she’s already got me in an intrigued vice grip. 🥹 I’ve missed this~
