I love this author but a prologue plus four chapters setting the book up is ridiculous and extremely unnecessary and the information is repetitive. This needs to get moving soon especially since it’s a novella

The synopsis had me falling in love. I mean, who doesn’t love an unhinged morally grey hero? Also read the reviews that warned about the writing but I decided to give it a try anyway. They were right. Everything happens too quickly and the writing leaves much to be desired in my opinion. Things feel repetitive and randomly thrown out. Might pick it up later but for now it’s my first DNF.
