Romanticizing mental illness, a lot of misogyny, disrespectful in its treatment of heavy topics (suicide and rape), weak plot, and poor writing. Just to sum things up.

So at 93% we introduce how the sister was brutally raped and murdered while the sister - our heroine - watched? I don't think I've read something as disrespectful as this in a long time. I can't even begin to explain how disgusting this portrayal is. Even if the rest of the book had been a masterpiece - which it isn't - this would've made me hate this book either way.

This book is a mess. The mental illness is more of an afterthought rather than an actual part f the story. It's still the usual focus of the typical NA story: Hot guy meets damaged girl. It would've been better had the author focused more on the mental illness aspect, unfortunately that is put in the background to leave place for repeatedly explanations of the hero's hotness and the heroine's damaged state.

I want to show her how much this one moment truly meant to me. Wow. I’m starting to sound like a little bitch.
