With fantasy books you never know how in depth the sex scene is gonna get like it’s either gonna be “he stroked me” or it’s going to be explicit but nonetheless cassian tops and finnian bottoms

I LOVE when authors write scenes like this where one of them is listing reasons why they won’t work and should not be together and the other is just dismissing them all but like not in a toxic way

I’m now at the 50% point and I have no idea where this is going like nothing is happening there is nothing that I see happening in the future like he might save his dad but genuinely that’s all we have and like because of the way this is written I (the reader) am extremely confused and just waiting for more context that I think I should have gotten by now

My thing is like I’m fine with a scene where the character is alone with their thoughts but like when he has nothing to think about because so little has happened it’s kind of just bad writing like let’s atleast set up some sort of romance with the characters first

What kind of writing is that I get it this is a fantasy book about gods but come on dude what are we doing this is the fourth time I've read the word "monochrome" and I bet the next page is going to have the word "onyx" on it for the third time

This is such a fun concept I really never read books about like gods and Greek mythology so I’m happy this is one of them

I also love both of their names cassian is one of my favorite names and finnian I feel is also a good one and they go together really well
