Idk what direction this is going in

I'm not sure how I feel about the book yet, but the pictures are giving me life. More adult books should throw in a few good pictures. It definitely makes the story better.

Interesting story. Slavery time Louisiana up to modern day Vegas. Great characters, lots of twists that you really have to watch closely to follow. You'll probably want to read book 2 to help pull some of the pueces together. At times the story gets a little bogged down with too much narrative that doesnt seem needed, but that might just be me.

It's taking me a while to get in to this book for some reason but I am pushing through as I generally really enjoy this author's work.
