It's hilarious how so much of the BL discourse you see on Twitter has already been discussed to death, documented, and analyzed by scholars years prior. Fave part of the book so far: one of the essays goes into whether seme uke dynamics are heteronormative or not. The author argues the seme in a pairing can easily be the uke in another; BL is merely a playground to mix & match various masculine + feminine traits.
