I think the side chapters with other characters who have already had their stories - Griffin and Julia, Anne and Pedro - which seem like the primary purpose is for them to have sex and boost the flame count, is distracting and to my mind not needed. I want to focus on Boyd and Beth.

It's good so far. There are a few little blips that have taken me out of the story, but I like the characters!
