Chapter 8 was the hardest chapter to read by far. The pain of miscarriage is just heartbreaking.

I still have a few chapters left, but I have to say this book is so well done.

✅adore the personal poetry introducing every chapter
✅love the rich scripture applications and promises of God for those in Christ—with it written out and referenced
✅clearly articulates hope in what seems like a hopeless situation (applicable for any suffering)
✅so much appreciate the Psalm of Lament actually typed out
✅the Guided Lament feels personal and a good leaping point for my own lament

“Biblical lament is leading us somewhere. Rather than just complaining to complain, it’s the act of crying out to our loving Father for help. Lament leads the believer into deeper communion with God. Lament is worship.” (27)
