✅adore the personal poetry introducing every chapter
✅love the rich scripture applications and promises of God for those in Christ—with it written out and referenced
✅clearly articulates hope in what seems like a hopeless situation (applicable for any suffering)
✅so much appreciate the Psalm of Lament actually typed out
✅the Guided Lament feels personal and a good leaping point for my own lament

I think one of my unexpected but most favorite parts of this book thus far is Brittany’s poetry and ability to capture the severity and depth of pain in miscarriage. A fantastic book for all—1. for those needing healing and 2. for those who want to hold and help those who are suffering and 3. for those needing a shift in their understanding of grief and pain and brokenness in this world

Loved ch2 on lament;helpful for ANY sufferer!
Enjoyed ch3: but (p49)—I’m a Christian that believes EXPERIENCING suffering is good(tho painful)—for what it produces in us (Rom5); the reason FOR our suffering (sin, sick, death, anxiety, etc) is itself NOT GOOD & (agree) shouldnt be called good. Loved highlight of God’s good& sovereign hand even in tragic situations
REALLY loving this book;a blessed resource

Incredibly compassionate while being candid. Fantastically biblical. Overwhelmingly emotional in all the right and good ways.
