Omg! What a lovely twist! At first I was angry, hating what King was doing. But then magic and Mia gets thrust into the past to meet ancient, alive King??? ....and they're together for a week? Heh, I see you book. I know what you do.

Sometimes, I find Mia's constant resistance exhausting. Like, it's fun and continues the story and...well, sometimes she's right, King and Mack really are lying to her. But it feels strained, does the opposite of tease the reader, by instead highlighting her unreasonable, bitchy side. Like, there's not enough hinting in King's manner that he's being manipulative. And what's this? Two Kings? Who is who? And when?
