And now I am really liking our hero. Freysson has invested him with a terrific bent, an admirable creed, and kept him true to it. There has been excellent intrigue and great battle this far. Looking forward to what comes next.

This has been fairly fun. I like the building story, like the apparent plot, like the protagonist - though he is a little grating, needs a slap down, maybe shut his mouth a wee bit.

Fine beginning. At first I thought there was a little too much braggadocio from our hero, but now he's settled in and handled himself quite well with the witch-folk. I'm looking forward to what comes.
