Status Updates From The King has Fallen: A Fall...

I kinda wish this story was about Gall. I really like his background and his growth as a young warrior. His loyalty, morality, and good naturedness. He's just a sweet lil guy trying to do the right thing.

This is the kind of darkness I’ve been looking for. But I’m worried about how rapey this angels are. They’re awful.

I gave up. The writing is good, the story is also good. I’m going through a bit of a funk at present and I just couldn’t finish it. I’ll retry at some point: I’d quite like to find out the end.

Holy shit. I did not expect to become so entranced by this book. I struggled initially to get into it - my autism makes it difficult to feel comfortable in new worlds, but I’m so glad I persevered. Yilan and Melek are excellently written characters and I’m excited to find out how their story turns out. I have a feeling I won’t mourn the king though. He’s an asshat.
