Status Updates From Overdue

I’m only 70% through this book, and I have been shaking my head the entire time! 😂 Who takes a “break” from a relationship just to go sleep with other people or date other people and then thinks they can come back together like nothing happened?! That makes absolutely no sense to me. I guess I’m just too monogamous for that kind of arrangement! 😂

Dale, Macon, activa hermanooo

“so there’s nobody” cory asked

another server …. passed our table. a pen tucked behind his ear.

“no.” i set down my fork, unable to stomach the rest of my meal. “there’s nobody”

soo the pen is represented macon who of course she thought about when cory asked if there was anyone. and she lost her appetite at the thought of choosing macon when he rejected her so brutally. ok love the symbolism

i like the break in pattern
arriving early to the diner (both of them)
not at the end of the month
new server - a completely different look compared to the other one
not the same old food that ingrid usually gets
not only is their relationship changing, so is the setting, so is she

the floor and the cottage

okay the half way point changed the trajectory of this whole book and i like it so much more now lol
