Wow, that ramped up fast.

He wore leather pants, an unzipped leather jacket, no shirt, and ho helmet. She wore a crop top, a miniskirt, and no helmet. DJ imagined the title: Our Worst Road Rash Ever. Or maybe Future Organ Donors in Love.

Silver is really good at badass characters who are complicated by the emotional cost of becoming badass.

Chapter one begins after a helicopter crash, with our hero having turned his best bud into a werewolf. (You don't have to know that the bud was the hero of the first book, but it's kinda nice to see the beginning of that story). Lots of nifty werewolf world building while the reader waits to see if they will survive!

I find it interesting that DJ listens to Filipino hiphop. But I think it's a bit inconsistent that he calls his mom Nanay but doesn't call his grandma Lola.

Reading this while the first book is still fresh in my mind and because I'm curious about DJ. I like that the cover shows a guy that looks Filipino.
