Status Updates From Maybe for the Summer

This book was well paced and even tho it included some of my not so favorites like ow drama and a supposed ons between MCs I really enjoyed it. I loved to see the characters grow with one another and felt they were truly meant to be. MCs get a surprise pregnancy, though mmc knows she’s preggo and get married not long after

FMC was fired by firm and comes home and helps parents with concierge business. She hooks up with mmc the night before when out with cousins and when she realizes he the customer the next day tries to keep things professional. Mmc is already smitten and knowing it’s just a matter of time before they hook up again.

This was a fun read. I liked both characters and really liked how FMC was a strong independent woman but able to handle mmc and keep him in his place. Mmc is an ex gangbanger turned rapper who has a lot of unhealed trauma. He also a recovering addict who has some near misses after being betrayed by his cousin. FMC gets him a therapist which I love cuz while she helps him through his issues he has to do the work too
