The romance in this story is a bit more than I’d like, but I do appreciate the female lead’s blunt and unintentional humor.

I misjudged this book. I thought it was another melodramatic YA story, but the traumatic backstories and the male best friends relationship has saved it fully from that fate.

The male lead is a practiced rake, I’m pretty sure, but in all honesty, props to him for being able to flirt with a girl on the fly while also managing to steal her book…?
