Because I am a total soccer nerd, I did a little research into soccer in St. Louis. I'd forgotten this, but they were actually pretty close to getting an MLS team in 2011, but instead two Cascadia teams got added (to my eternal joy). It seems like this may have been written with the idea that they would get a team.
