My heart aches for Simone.
I've never thought I'd be able to feel so much for a character. I can't imagine forgiving a man after going through all of that. No matter how messed up his mind was.

Have to take another break. I’m reading a very emotional section and it’s hard reading, in a good way of course.

Still taking numerous quick breaks to give my heart a bit of a rest as book it still very intense,

I find when a book starts getting a break, the more intense it gets the more breaks I take. This is a very good thing by the way. It means I’m really into the book and as tension builds, I’m feeling and need a breather. Feeling a book is a very good thing. I’m needing to take more and more breaks the further I read.

This is the 4th book in the Timberbridge series. I’ve been reading them out of order so it’s a bit confusing. Read 3rd book in series, love it, went back to the 1st book but DNF’ed Then DNF’d 3rd book. Didn’t want to give up series so went back to 1st book, ended up loving it which brings me to this book. Starts with a bang.

This is so dysfunctional, so much pain in that family and town. Very real…beautiful.
CJ Bloom is amazing and perfect for Simone.

This took a turn I didn't expect and I like it. This series is darker and way more emotional than what I think it seems when thiniking of reading it.

3rd book in The Timberbridge brothers series and I kind of stumbled upon this smalltown suspense series on audio because of the great narrators and it's duet. It's a reallu good suspense romance series.
