I hate this book because I love the Bad Batch

Wrecker spoke with a child’s glee “Medium!”
“Compared to what?”
“Small and large.”

So Celia discovered the construction of the Death Star the exact same way Thrawn did in his books? Ok. But as an audience we don’t know or care about Celia. This is just going to lead to a dead end, at least Thrawn had more story to be told after his books.

I really dislike this book. At the beginning of this chapter Crane didn’t seem too bad as a father but by the end he seems monstrous. There’s a way to do that kind of unfolding reveal well. There’s no reason Gayla should respect him he’s not even deceitful. And I think this chapter was supposed to garner sympathy for Gayla, but I’m more than halfway through the book, it’s too late for that.
