I think Sanos is probably the most likeable character right now because he's trying to learn and be better while also trying to escape (what a sane person would do).

Reading this paragraph feels weird. 😭😭 'Men were unfit to rule. They were easy to provoke, and they always thought with their cocks instead of their heads, which was why they were better suited to the bedroom.' It reminds me of how people thought Elizabeth was unfit to rule because she was a woman but then she became a great queen and defeated the Spanish Armada and everything.

I am not sure how this book will turn out. In the author's note she explained that she isn't trying to say that men should be inferior but instead trying to show a world where men and women's historical role would be reversed just to portray her fury. I do understand how she felt while she was writing it but I'm quite tentative with this book because I feel like this book could become radical and we don't want that.
