Status Updates From The Ice Beyond

LOVE, love, love Olivia's books, and this one is going to be a stunner. I just feel it.

I’m not really understanding what the stakes are in this book…? I’m confused on why the MMC suddenly has an attraction to the FMC. The world building also needs some work. There is a war, but it’s not explained much, just mentioned, so is it actually important? I wish the unrequited love aspect was explored more and lasted longer….. I might DNF this book.

Ehhh I’m not sure how I feel about this yet…. I still don’t understand the MMC’s motivation (but I have a feeling it will be explained, hopefully….). FMC is just… average? so far. I’m also not a fan of the modern language in this fantasy world… 🫠
