Very anticlimactic. I kept waiting for it to get going, for something to happen, to feel the connection between the characters but I never did. They were flat and the most exciting part of the story was the very beginning.

How is Ivy an "impossibly maddening woman"? This description does not fit her character, it's like the author took a common romance book phrase and just threw it in here.

Even going almost 2 weeks without picking this book up didn't make me want to come back to it. Glad it's almost over. Just too blah for me.

What is this "if she'd only met him half way" crap? They only had a two conversation about him staying versus her going. There was no talking about compromise. Ugh this author...

Why is everyone "smoking hot"??? I love romance novels but this takes cheese age cliché to a whole new level. And I don't remember Mark telling Ivy about Sandra cheating on him so how does she know? That was a HUGE plot point that should not have been skipped. It would have added to the character development which is much needed in this book.

Architectural landscape design??? Seems an odd choice for a girl from a town of only 3,000 people. This book is poorly researched and characters seem to be all over the place.

"...you went with Austin." This book half sounds like it should take place in the 50's with some of the phrases the author uses.

And nobody says "my peeps" anymore. The terms and phrases seem to be way off in this book, making it seem like the author is trying too hard and is instead taking a good story idea and ruining it by, for lack of a better term, trying to be cool.

"With bells on" is something my grandmother says. I don't know anyone my age/the age of the characters who says this phrase.

An over use of the never used in real life "signif", along with an over use of exclamation points.

It's still muddled and the author seems to jump from one thing to the next without clearly showing/staring what is happening.

Everything is a bit muddled in this book. Lots of new characters introduced right after one another without much if any explanation.

All males are referred to as men/man so far and now the author has thrown in on use of "dude" it seems out of character.

"Stared in horror at the terribly hot guy in a tux..." Describing when he falls flat on his back. Very odd description.

Starting the book over, going to make myself read it this time. The names are a little corny. Ivy Green. Eustis?

Hmm...not too sure yet. I feel like a few things are rushed and other things are being forced. Also who has a wedding BEFORE coffee shops are even open?! Right there is the biggest hurdle. A six figure wedding I doubt would be held in the morning. The author made a snafu there. Where was her editor???
