Author. Author, no. No, Author. You can't just tell us a characterization point and expect us to believe it when we aren't shown any evidence of it. Don't be Whedon, author. Telling us this was a thing when we had no evidence of it isn't going to make us believe it.

Oooookay, that's a really creepy set-up. No way these two can end up lovers. Like, if you wanted to set these up as potential lovers, that was NOT the way to do it O_O

I can already feel how cliche this might go. Author hasn't built up the character enough at this point for us to care about the archetypal storyline I see being set up. Ouch.

4.5 star Wonderful, wonderful! Owen is reliably a fav for my bliss. This one wasn't as rough as I wanted and the sub/Dom thing went by the wayside, but I was swept up in the amazing character development, and I clutched my one hand to my chest, the other to wipe away a small tear at how equality was ultimately developed in their relationship.

Oh, animalistic possession and protection of his mate! Love it!

Nature vs nurture, eh? Just because Aiden was raised by mean, cold men who tried to indoctrinate him with their beliefs, doesn't mean he will succumb. Aiden has stayed true to his (unknown) bliss; albeit, naive and untried. But, hot diggity, I love the tortured villain, so I wish Torin, the other mc, was more... villainous. S'okay, cuz the threat created by the two (somewhat one-dimensional) "bad" guys is awesome.

Loving the deep hidden strength in the down-trodden Aiden.

For having a drug that makes him lose control rolling in his system, he seemed disappointingly in control, almost gentlemanly in his restraint, no monstrous beast unleashed. Still, an excellent, tense, vivid scene!
