Status Updates From Undertow (Undertow, #1)

got an arc from netgalley, its interesting so far, not sure where it is going at all

picking this back up since I forgot my book at home today and I can access this on my phone. sigh.

Can't wait for this book to be over. So near yet so far.

I think that "classic, Abercrombie-esque face" is the worst description of an attractive male I have ever read in my life

It's really tempting to quit reading this. It's awful in so many ways. But I signed up to review it for someone, so I'll keep at it a bit longer. I mean, this far in and the actual plot hasn't even started yet. Where is the plot? I'm losing the will to live.

This isn't really pulling me in, I have to admit, but I'll give it another chapter or two before deciding whether it's worth carrying on with. The plot sounds intriguing, should it ever happen, but there's massive info dumps and inane over-descriptions of literally everything, plus commas in all the wrong places and missing in the right places. It's all distracting from the actual story, which is slow to happen.

I'm very busy this week, but I will try my best to get to this one. I found it for free on amazon for the kindle, seems like a fun little YA paranormal read. Looking for that feeling of nostalgia, I guess.
