The more educated we are, the more powerful we are, indeed the older we are the harder it is to submit. We think that by submitting we somehow endorse the rude and incompetent acts of those who rule over us. We think it dehumanizes us and makes us second-class citizens. But this is not what is meant when God calls us to submit. To submit is not simply to take a beating, no it is much harder than that.
