So, it was already established that “yielding” in an alpha fight didn’t prohibit the yielder from challenging in the future. But SUDDENLY, the rules changed and now the ~”no challenging back” is a law upheld by magic itself. UGH! Come ON! At least stick to your own worldbuilding rules.

We suddenly have giving your weird is a magical binding oath that will kill you if you break it? Where was this in book 1??? Why didn't Travis die when he broke the oath of the show challenge at the end of book 1? Why did Derrick put a magical necklace on her to keep her around instead of forcing her to give her word not to leave?
