“she kissed me. i kissed her back, but only because I’m a man.”

ick.

oh god this part is reading like twilight bar for bar (derogatory)

sebastian’s initial reaction to the rom-com movie is frying me

I’ll give it three stars for now and if I read the second book I’ll readjust.

It was also interesting that the curse wasn’t broken and also Grace can’t break it anymore because she’s a vampire now. Maybe Cora is still working on it?

All in all it was a solid book but I feel like something’s missing. Some depth or this spark between the main characters or something. I’m between three and four stars.

I liked Cora and maybe I’ll read the next book which is her story. The twist with Elias resenting Sebastian and kidnapping Grace was good.

It was a fun idea with Grace being this cute blondie who watches rom-coms and all an Sebastian being a broody vampire. Unfortunatelly, I feel like the author didn’t really use their full potential. It was fun but I missed depth.

"If a guy has blond hair, that basically means he's either going to be the bad guy or in the friendzone. Sometimes both."
"I have blond hair," I say.
Grace laughs so hard she snorts.
"Exactly," she says.
"So I'm a red flag?"
"Sebastian, you are a red billboard."

The setup sounds interesting.

I’m in the mood for some light reading and this standalone vampire romantasy may be perfect.

oh so now we are in sex land. went to sexlandia and these two were citizens. and he loves her? sure whatever I guess. When did words ever mean anything anyway.

listen, she's not the most cunning or the best fighter-- but she IS twenty-five. and sometimes, that's enough <3
