Multigenerational women's group asked us to share a movie recommendation. A Christian White women (topic of this book) mentioned Sinners. Her review was full of performative anti-racism and trauma porn. Her fellow non-POC women chimed in and they all looked at the one African American woman with wide eyed expectation. It was like synchronized swimming. All WOC (including myself) rolled their eyes collectively.
