HOW did the elves know the elfling was killed? How did they put a name, and within what (in the book) seems like 20 minutes, know who did it, where the culprit lived, and arrange death for all?
This and other similar things within the book…grrr. WHAT PLAN? I really want to like this book a lot, but the unevenness is getting to me.
