It was 4 stars up until all heck broke loose. What bothers is me that she never rises above the betrayal or the “I’m not good enough.” Or “I’m a monster.” Like that was the whole book. The wolves turning against her and never figuring out that Owen was evil was just sad. Plus Derick finding them?? Owen lived there. He could have just told Derick. So frustrating ⭐️⭐️⭐️

This book was a mess. No development. She didn’t even end up with the guy. I know it’s a series. Very disappointed. She spends the whole book crying panicked whilst also beating and killing people with ease. The whole last hour was so disorganized with so much happening and none of it making sense.

This far into the book should be some development with how much she’s accomplished. She stopped running despite all these people after her yet she still scrambles to run. Her ex, how is he scary if she’s nearly killed him. Shes killed a lot now and beat up scarier guys but just bc she was betrayed and he’s been hunter her he’s scarier. She’s being hunted by everyone. But she’s not worried about that.

Also, how does one save people on the streets. Face off with people, vampires and other but not have any confidence. I get she has her Other Side but it’s just ridiculous how much she shuts down when she’s killed people. Especially this far into the book there should be some backbone.

How is this woman 27?!? It makes no sense. With her stutter and her panic attacks. Especially her inner thoughts are of someone much younger. It’s just weird to have a panicking shaken woman at 27. Make her 21, heck she could be 18.
