Status Updates From Winterworld Book 1: The Mec...

Ok read it more before calling it a day. I’ve read about a quarter of the book today. I hope to finish tomorrow so I can move into other things.

Plowed through an awful lot today. Likely will get through a lot more.

Disappointed in the lack of a quest. Just a series of small adventures.

Recently saw Scully get his name. That’s kinda cool.

Have decided I’m glad this is a short read. Well on its way to a solid 3-star rating here.

Haven’t updated the last couple of readings. This is a short book so much updates have big leaps. Am getting a bit more insight into Scully. Finding out what turned him into the man that I recognize which is quite different to the Scully we were introduced to in the beginning of this novel.

Anyways I am now half way through. I’ve come to realize that there is no overall plot yet. Seems like more of a biography.

I managed to okie through a good chunk today.

I previously questioned the amount of prose Wynn has shown given his less-than-talkative nature in the graphic novels.

I’ve come to the conclusion this should have not been in the first person but rather words from Wynn (which this ultimately is, anyways) and with the understanding that she is interpreting his words.

Amusing to see Scully use so many words. Quiet and pensive in graphic novels, I’m amused to see the use of first person for a prose novel.

Winter World (or Winterworld, depending on the edition) in prose.

I’m glad to see this involves Scully and Wynn, but as this is a step away from the timeline we have grown accustomed, it is nice to see a change in format.

This far a quick start. Let’s see how this continues.

Alright this wasn't a graphic novel, but the story is actually quite good. :)
