Never did I expect to skim a Loren book, but here we are. Potential pregnancy scare did not sit well with me. The minor angst also had some pitfalls.

I don’t know if Loren is pushing the envelope enough re: subverting some of the BDSM set ups she has in other books in the series, yet our leads are starting to really open up. This first date is one for the literal books. After this hiccup, we won’t be done!

My second time having this out on ILL (from the other state library that had this LOL), and fingers crossed I get to finish the whole thing. I read the House Call novella before the first copy went back, which I liked.

The pace of this is already better thanks to the writing not being clunky. Although Loren’s still hammering the “dangers” of this relationship too much. Pike’s Mama pet name is a boot, too.
