My favorite character has to be Ellie, she's such an icon

I feel a bit like the magical realism is a little too magical. There are parts of the story that feel like they could be plot holes or even incongruous to the story. I think the author means for them to be magical realism? Like in the third chapter - she breaks her nose, but there is no mention of it or interruption of the story other than that paragraph.

I appreciate the concept of this book - it's intriguing. However this is some of the most non-sense writing I've ever read. Half of the sentances don't make any sense.

I'm not sure what's happening to be completely honest. The writing style is confusing, the plot is confusing, and I think this could benefit from some deep editing. I'm only one chapter in so I'm going to try to give chapter two a shot, but I'm not sure if this one's for me.
