Status Updates From Love in the Light: A Musica...

My friend was excited to loan me this book, so I’m going to force myself to finish it. Kudos to the author for reimagining the medium, and we can always use more queer love stories. However… this reads like a tumblr fanfiction written by a 14 year old. Where was the editor? Grammar mistakes galore. Lots of telling rather than showing. Characters are 2 dimensional.

I would really like a multi-person, Broadway performer recording of these songs.

Is he singing all the parts, or are there multiple voice singers for this? Because, I just listened to Ms. Finnian's song and it sounded like a man or Bea Arthur, but I'm pretty sure Bea Arthur didn't sing this from beyond the grave...

As with all Broadway/musical soundtracks I feel like the two voice sound too similar, but it's pretty cute, and I'm excited to read it.
