This voice is incredibly cheesy. Maybe for an MG book, I could at least say it's cringe-worthy in a realistic way, but for YA, it's inexcusable. Even without that, the writing isn't very good - the dialogue feels forced and awkward, and the prose isn't much better. The paragraphs are in odd places, and Robins seems to use semi-colons and commas interchangeably. Also, the opening chapters were amateurish.

The book up until now is pretty crap. I've never said that about a book before. The dialogue between the characters are awful. The way they talk isn't how a teen talks. At least the story started out interesting. I refuse to stop reading it in hopes that the story gets better. What does jasmine have to do with him going crazy and Jason has a part in it but I don't know yet! I feel like I'm wasting my time!!
