Im loving this childhood re-read so far, I’m reminded of how wonderfully Lauren writes - she is not condescending and does not dumb down the world for teen readers - she talks to them as adults and shows life for what it is, complicated and messy.
This is more than just a girly horse book, it’s a story of self discovery & the hardships of life thrust onto the shoulders of a girl too young to comprehend them yet.

Ik had er geen verwachtingen van maar het is eigenlijk wel een verrassend boeiend verhaal. Ik moet wennen aan de schrijfstijl en sommige moeilijk engelse woorden maar al met al is echt een prima boek!
