12 hours in, 32 more to go...this is a VERY long book.

I think here is one of the first times the framing story weakens the narrative in this series, which to its credit, makes it a generally successful decision. What happens comes at a weird point in the story and only confuses the narrative since it so clearly contradicts what we know is going to happen. As such, even though I like the scenes (and in general we hit a good patch), it’s weird.
