Wait I’m actually so confused. He already told her that he wants someone else on the throne why does she need to “find a weakness and exploit it”?? He’s already agreed to, which she says she believes…also he’s already hinted towards having magic? So like what is the plot of this book? What are we working towards? What happened to no poison just ivy, now she needs to play the role? What???

I didn’t like the prologue, but REALLY enjoying the hell out of this book so far. I can’t figure out what power the captain has yet.
