Me buying this book knowing fully well the author abandoned the series: 🤡🤡🤡

The smoking indoors is getting out of control. Smoking in a jail cell, smoking in the kitchen, smoking in the bedroom, smoking in a lobby, smoking in an elevator. Wth. I like the crime noir vibe that comes with smoking, but this isn't realistic at all.

There is so much smoking indoors! I actually used to smoke and like having smoking MCs (haha) but this much smoking indoors is unrealistic. I'm cringing thinking about the smoke ruining the furniture/art on the walls. That's going to devalue this chick's house.

This books is awesome so far. Like a sexy Silence of the Lambs.
