Him continuing to call her by a nickname when she has repeatedly corrected him, is incredibly annoying! Not romantic. If someone will not call you by the name you wish to be called by, they are a jerk!

I don't know why authors include this kind of detail. I'm sure we'll find out there's a reason he's calling her this, but he could explain now.
