I want to like this but it reads like your average fantasy novel 🥲

“As he stepped inside, the furred tip of his tail whisked at his heels. Rigid brown wings dappled in gray and white were tucked close to his back.”

My mind out here imagining a furry 🫠

“The bodies were fresh. They hadn’t been dead more than a day.

They were strewn about the room, the corpses. Six corpses frozen in the throes of death like grotesque statues of onyx.”
