I received an ARC of this book! So far I’m LOVING the illustrations and voice. Recipes seem solid and balanced - going to make the hazelnut cookies to test.

I love the memoir sections of this book, but it seems more cookbook than memoir so far. Weirdly organized with all the memoir first and then a stack of recipes with pictures of them in process or finished. The pictures are shockingly plain, after the beautiful watercolors that illustrated the memoir chapters. There are more recipes than what are mentioned in the memoir chapters which is odd and not what I expected.
