hummm... interesting. im enjoying this better than i remember from last week. its probably still going to be a 3 stars, but ill read the next one. besides some strange victorian-man-swooning-at-an-ankle behavior, the romance part is fun.

birthday dinner celebration? cute. kidnapped child that i like? not cute. srsly, child violence of this sort is too serious for a book like this, the vibe is all over the place. will probably have to alternate with a different read to get through this.

I unintentionally went into a low-level readers slump for almost a week now. I'm honestly loving Fei Du's involvement with psychology now, hopefully it doesn't stop in later vols. I also like how Su Luozhan was helping her mom do illegal stuff, its sad whenever groomed kids do things that they think are "normal" because of being used to it during childhood. Its very clear both her and her mom has a genetic disorder.

I don't really like reading abt cases of violence against children, so i'm not sure how that's going to go, but the relationship part of it is going great
