Strike 1: “He waited until the last filed out, only to fill alone with Lacy in the hallway” (44). Does he mean “feel” alone? If so, that’s why he made his students leave—so he could be alone with her, so he could feel alone with her, without them. Either way, it doesn’t make sense.
Strike 2: I’m so confused.
I don’t need strike 3. Life’s too short. DNF.
