The prologue feels like it belongs to a completely different story. The book itself is much more balanced so far, and Rowan and Violet’s relationship is starting to take an interesting turn.

Is it a genre convention for the FMC to be attracted and get turned on by everyone she meets 😂 It just feels a bit excessive, or maybe I'm just old LOL. (Like the two women hugging and noticing how their breasts squished together 🙈)

Prologues can be a hit or miss, and while I didn't particularly like or dislike this one, it sets the tone of the story. In case—for whatever reason—you missed this was a dark fantasy romance, the prologue's there to remind you of that.
