This is such a boys book. If they had such an explicit scene in a book written by a woman they’d just call it mafia smut instead of a “crime novel”. I do appreciate this more than the movie so far tho bc I had to watch the movie with no subtitles and had like no clue who anyone was

The thing I love about older shows, movies, and books is that it’s so much more difficult to predict them because they don’t rely on tropes as heavily as newer books. So far I have correctly predicted NOTHING in this story and that’s what makes it such a page turner!!
