I decided to not DNF and to push through. It’s picking up and I’m interested to see how it ends, but all my qualms from earlier are still there

Why is the dialogue from a 15 year olds diary?? She’s texting this guy “I’m just a bit of a nerd 👉👈” and he’s like “well I’m just a hockey jock” like YALL add some depth plsssss. ALSO why is everyone so down to just air out their dirty laundry?? Every person we’ve met is “hi nice to meet you- here’s all my secrets and insecurities”

So far not loving this one. I think it may just be the writing that’s throwing me off. It’s marketed as a forbidden secret romance with a “nerdy” girl. But literally tell me one person that doesn’t know about this relationship?? His whole team basically knows…he’s living with 4 guys & they all know…where’s the sneaking? They’re on dates..in public..???
