This book deserves more hype wtf! 🔥

The story is good. The writing is not! It could have been cut in half; very repetitive; needs a good editing, because some basic character actions do not make any sense (ex., why not take away your card mate from the dangerous father the first time you found her half starved?! Or why the constant talk and arguments (repetitive!) through ear cons while you are doing a secret sweep of the enemy’s house?! )

I’m going to struggle with this now - half way and Caelan is going to be in a coma for the rest of the book….so the miscommunication tropes have started and I can’t stand that trope :/

Oh boy. I’m so invested, but I can already tell the ending is going to destroy me. Ms. Blackthorn, I sincerely apologize for shelving this, but this is a “pick-it-back-up-when-book-two-is-out sort of situation, for my mental health. You understand.
It should be noted that I have zero self-control so I probably won’t actually be able to wait that long… we’ll see.
