So there are at least ten storylines that need to be concluded. I get that there needs to be some glossing over. But here's also exactly where the problem comes in: we're being told about all this history between Circe and Hermes, and between Hermes and Atalanta, but we've been shown none of it, so I don't believe a word! It was a gamble to try to tie up all the stories AND introduce a whole new one. Bold strategy...

I have gasped so far already in genuine shock BUT at the same time, I'm finding Circe a really lackluster villain. Maybe that's ok??? Her story is one that is sympathetic, and with that, I want to identify with her more, but we've come to know and love the other characters so much that I can't see her as anything but a villain and I don't care to get to know her any better. It'll be interesting to see where this goes

I have so many thoughts... Let's see if I can process them. I feel like we've been waiting for a Hermes story since book 1 and yet now that we're here, and knowing this is the last one, I'm more interested in checking in with my faves. That's so sad! I do love Hermes, I just... I want more Hades, I want more Ares, I want more Zeus and Hera! We are getting a little... but... This book has A LOT of weight to pull...
